Round 2: Jesse Allen

Our next round is upon us, I've changed the dates a little, but hopefully it will allow us to keep the momentum of Round 1 which was such a big success! Cody continues to tell me how great all the cookies were and then tells me how FAST they were all EATEN!

So this round's soldier is Jesse Allen, his sister and mother both thought he would LOVE to receive something from us and they gave me the following information about him:

Jesse is 25 and is stationed in Ft Lewis WA. He and his wife Summer (who's also stationed in Ft Lewis and is a member of the National Guard) celebrated their 1 yr anniversary in Sept, while Jesse was deployed. They have a 5 year old daughter, and Summer is 4 months pregnant with their 2nd child due in April, while he is still deployed.

Jesse is a combat medic assigned to a forward operating base in Southern Afghanistan. His main job is stabilizing trauma patients in the field and transporting them to the hospital. He treats many children who have been victims of IED's, roadside bombs and landmines.

The days for SHIPPING are: 2 Nov-13 Nov! I know it's a week earlier than I thought we would do, but hopefully it won't cause too many conflicts.

Again, if you can't send it until the 16th please feel free to send it then.

**If you need his mailing address please send a message to sistersinaprons@gmail.com we are NO LONGER going to post mailing addresses out in the open. I know it will cause for more work, but we need to protect our men and women's privacy.**

Good Luck Ladies, and let the baking begin!!

Round One: Spc Cody Ray

I am so happy to report that our first soldier has already received some of his care packages. I am not sure exactly how many were sent out, but he mentioned having received two and I know at least 5 or 6 were sent!

Cody passes along his gratitude and happy stomach to everyone who participated in this round. Our next round will begin shortly with mailing to take place from November 10-20. That gives us 4 weeks in between the end of shipping to the beginning of the next round. Please continue to invite friends and family as we get further into this. Holiday seasons are coming up and we need to make sure to spread the joy.

Let the baking begin!
